ISCL has 6 membership levels. Student and advocate members don’t need qualifications or experience. Affiliate Safety Coach, Accredited Safety Coach, and Professional Safety Coach are our credentialed levels. If you don’t meet the criteria, we offer an EBCP (Experience Based Credential Pathway). Fellow membership are by nomination only, and are for those who have made significant contributions to the profession.
For credentialed safety coach applications, we ask for evidence that you’ve completed Coaching Education aligned with the ICF Core Competencies and grounded in evidence-based frameworks such as GROW, CLEAR, or Solution-Focused Coaching. For standard applications, this is evidenced by completion of an ICF-accredited program (Level 1, 2, or 3) or a university qualification (e.g., major, minor, graduate certificate, or postgraduate program) in coaching, leadership, or applied psychology. For Experience-Based Coach Pathway (EBCP) applications, we offer alternative ways for you to show your coaching skills, training, experience, and competence.
